• No longer priority to use popups for most things

v2.0.134 (19 Mar 2011)

New Versioning

Skipped 1.0 because the previous cold fusion version for all intents and purposes was 1.0 even though it never made it past the beta stage. I am using an auto versioning system with visual studio. Which means for the most part the third number, the number of compiles, is the main way to tell which version is which. The second number will still keep track of major versions, but I don't really foresee using it much.

neTodo.net Released

• neTodo has been converted from Cold Fusion to .NET
• You can register an account, it's now open to everyone.

JQuery

• Now uses JQuery 1.4.2, will upgrade to 1.5.1 shortly after done with some testing
• The Debug Console has been added to the top. Don't be alarmed, this is here for me to keep an eye on javascript until I am satisfied enough to turn debugging off.
• Framework added to support neTodo Console. This is not to be confused with the debug console, but rather will be used to more quickly manipulate neTodo in a CLI rather than the GUI.
• Added the timepicker addon to make it easier to set due dates for todo items

Features

• Hashtags finally arrived to take over the role of labels. Simply use '#' anywhere in your todo description to add a hashtag to your todo item.
• A list of all your hashtags can be seen on the left menu area under the Lists menu.
• Click on a hashtag in your menu to see all todo items with that hashtag
• A list of all your todo lists can be seen on the left menu area.

Known Issues

• When you click on a hashtag on the left menu you lose your List state which means adding a new todo item will go to the Global List.

neTodo has been fully released. People can now register to start using it. Try it out and let me know what you think.

The in deep thought code base has just reached v0.6. You can view the changelog to see the changes.

I know, I know. I have enough projects already and I never seem to get any of them done... But I just can't help myself. Since I got done with most of the wiki parsing stuff a while ago I got to thinking about applying that to do transcript statistics.

A couple years ago there was a website (probably still exists, I'll look for it in my bookmarks later) that did a really good job of doing comparisons for State of the Union Addresses and comparing them. You could take a word, like Terrorism or Iraq or whatever phrase you wanted and compare how many times they show up in a speech and compare these with multiple transcripts.

I think that might be a cool thing to try.

Even though I have a link to it under the logo menu item, Link Blog, you can view a snippet of the items I share in google reader over the course of the day on the right bottom side of the front page.

So as you can see I added a bunch of my old articles. You can probably safely ignore these, they are so old (some from high school) that they are very simple without much substance.

Doing this though allowed me to test some of the robustness of the site and find any errors, which I did. You can view the changelog to see what I fixed. I also added a new feature which I think can help the site if it the top menu starts to get cluttered.

I am almost done with the first version of online neTodo. There is a demo login people can use to test it out just go here and login with demo/demo for login and password. As soon as I finish all the rest of the items on my list for neTodo I'll release it everyone to register to.
